Jason Bodlovich Jazz Ensembles

Jason's acoustic jazz groups perform as trio, quartet and larger ensembles. Trio (JB3) or quartet (JBQ) is the most common configuration with upright bass, drums and/or piano. J's jazz groups perform styles including traditional/straight ahead, Brazilian, bop, gypsy swing, soul jazz and more. Influences include Miles Davis, Oscar Peterson, Julian Lage and Bill Frisell.

Jason's first jazz recording, Blues For Dexter, featured legendary bassist Ray Brown in a quintet setting paying homage to Dexter Gordon. Jason's 2010 jazz release, The Culprit, is a return to acoustic jazz with nine original compositions. In 2009 Jason was awarded the Norbay-North Bay Music Award in jazz category. In the same year Jason performed at the Sonoma Guitar Summit and the Healdsburg Jazz Festival's "Rising Stars" showcase.
